Areté Learning Trust

  1. Our MAT

Our MAT

Welcome and thank you for your interest in  Areté Learning Trust, a charitable education Multi- Academy Trust based in the North of England comprising four primary schools and five secondary schools.

Our recent merger with Ryedale Learning Trust in April 2024 helped us establish a stronger Trust, with greater autonomy to set direction, deliver the outcomes that are important to us, and ensure that, in line with our vision, every young person in our Trust is inspired and enabled to be the best they can be. This coming together of two strong Trusts has increased our school improvement capacity, enabled greater collaboration and partnership working, supported the delivery of high quality and inclusive educational provision, and maximised resources, all of which benefit every young person and member of staff in our schools.

Working collaboratively has delivered many benefits for the children and young people in our schools, our staff, and the local communities we serve. We believe we are stronger together and collectively strive to ensure that our young people are given both the opportunity and support to achieve their potential and experience the real joy of learning.

We aim to:

  • Enable all learners to leave our schools strengthened by our values and aspirations and having achieved well
  • Ensure all learners are well prepared to face the next challenge in their learning, personal and social development
  • Enable schools to work together, share expertise and maximise efficiency and effectiveness across the MAT for the benefit of all

In an educational climate where things are constantly changing, we want to innovate, collaborate, stay true to our values and work with others who are similarly committed to helping all young people, whatever their starting point, to be the best they can be.
