A group of students at Stokesley School and Sixth Form College have been recognised by Rishi Sunak, MP for Richmond and Northallerton, for their incredible fundraising achievements.
Mr Sunak visited the school to meet the outstanding group of Sixth Form Student Leaders who, just this term, have raised over £1200 for charity, collected books to donate to their local primary school, supplied over 100 coats to the Wrap Up Teesside Campaign and provided Christmas hampers for more than 45 families in need across Teesside through collaboration with The CAUSE Foundation.
In addition to celebrating the student’s achievements, Mr Sunak held a Q&A session with Sixth Form politics students, sharing his experiences in local and central government enabling the students to engage further with their studies by asking curriculum-specific questions, put theory into practice and debate current affairs and the effect these have on our political climate.
It’s inspiring to see how these young people are committed to supporting their community and being engaged citizens.
